NJ Wahoos

I love the Wahoos Swim Center! They have the most qualified and well trained instructors. Although, I do agree that they have trouble hanging on to them. We are doing the summer swim lessons and the teachers are plentiful and my children are bonding with their instructor as well. My fear is when the Fall hits, where will everyone go? I tried Into the swim, they never showed up for the lesson and I had to fight with my credit card to get a refund for the pre-payment. I went to the JCC, and they forgot about our lesson and this over weight heavily tatooed instructor came out with a big attitude and made us feel very uncomfortable. She then told us that she didn't think our kids should be in swimming lessons yet (ages 3 and 4) She was lazy and miserable and I would highly recommend steering clear. The Wahoos is worth the wait list, get on NOW! Your child will actually learn to swim with someone who likes people.

Great program, great teaching methods, knows what their doing as far as teaching a child to swim. Everything else, they need some work. Organization, support staff, booking private lessons during swim practice...needs some work!

They will teach your child how to swim and swim well if you can take the monkeys that are running the place.

This is like a swimming class factory. I was not impressed. The instructor was more interested in chatting with her friends, and you could see she wasn't into it. She kept going through the motions without really helping my child learn anything or giving constructive criticism. It's easy to get "stuck" on a certain level, as they won't progress you unless you're doing it "their" way.
