Wheelock Family Theatre Wheelock Family Theatre is a professional, Equity theatre with performances and education programs. Each season WFT produces a drama for teens, a musical for families, and a play for children. Acting classes are offered throughout the year in 9 week sessions, school vacation week intensives, and a summer camp. Classes are process oriented, taught by WFT's professional educators, and stress the development of life skills as well as provide professional development for the young performer. Students are invited to audition for appropriate roles and have the opportunity to work alongside Equity Actors, mentoring discipline, stagecraft, and a solid work ethic. Wheelock Family Theatre has a commitment to accessibilty and diversity - ticket prices are kept affordable, audience enhancements include open captioning, ASL interpreting, and live audio-descriptions, and colorful casting policies mean the performers onstage will reflect the diversity of the Boston audience.
